Green Team Spirit creates a voluntary green team program for your business tailored to its unique needs. We work with senior management to learn about your business and guide you through the process of empowering employees to play a key role in the selection and implementation of green goals. We understand the value of employee time and work with you and your Green Team to strike the right balance of time and energy to be spent on greening efforts. We provide in-depth learning modules and ongoing support to Green Team members to facilitate their efforts. Green Team Spirit helps senior management to set the tone and vision that will inspire the dedicated effort of your company green team.



1. Leadership Consultation – This complimentary consultation can occur on the phone, or in person. Potential clients fill out a brief (multiple choice) questionnaire to facilitate our discussion on how GTS can help your organization on its quest to sustainability and determine your readiness for a Green Team Program.

2. Assessment & PlanningGTS uses proprietary analytical tools to measure carbon emissions and cost data for energy, waste, water, transportation and purchasing for your organization. Staff surveys gauge current behaviors, attitudes and ideas about operating more sustainably at work. A final report lists actionable recommendations prioritized by lowest costs and greatest impacts.

3. Green Team Development ProgramGreen Team Spirit provides step-by-step guidance to help your Green Team organize successfully. Members learn to identify challenges and opportunities in the workplace and how to work together to deliver actionable goals. The series includes:

  • Green Team Leadership Development
  • Green Team Recruitment & Kick-Off
  • Facilitated 1st Green Team Meeting
  • Maintaining an Effective Green Team


4. Module Training – In-depth green team training on specific areas pertaining to sustainability. Tools and templates facilitate the process of evaluating, measuring and implementing actions. All Modules follow the GTS 7-Step Framework (Vision, Assess, Plan, Act, Evaluate, Celebrate, Improve): Topics include:

The Green Business Partnership (GBP) was founded in 2009 as the Westchester Green Business Challenge, a program of the Business Council of Westchester in partnership with Westchester County and Green Team Spirit LLC.  In 2014, we expanded to offer an official green certification available to organizations that complete a rigorous and rewarding process to reduce environmental impact. The response from the business community has been overwhelmingly positive.

GBP provides a solution to organizations that want to go green but lack the time and expertise to incorporate sustainability into their core mission. Responding to widespread demand for access to the GBP’s propriety tools and turnkey system, we launched the Green Business Partnership in 2017 in order to make the program available to businesses throughout New York State.
