Green Teams

Green Team Spirit consults with the Town of Cortlandt and the villages of Dobbs Ferry and Hastings-on-Hudson, NY on their sustainability efforts and green team programs. The Green Team Spirit program creates the foundation for culture change within an organization where leadership commitment, a dedicated green team and full staff engagement are the key components to a sustainable enterprise. Our unique program guides organizations through step-by-step training modules that address energy, waste, water, transportation, green purchasing, green building and communications.

“Our initial findings suggest that people want to work for a company visibly committed to making the world a better place–and for many, the environment is a high-priority societal concern. Involvement in a grass-roots green team helps demonstrate this commitment, and in the process, reinforces the employee/company relationship.”Corporate Green Teams: A New Social Trend at Work? Alta Terra Research Network

“What emerged overwhelmingly in this project was that the teams and companies that are driving successful and sustainable transformation are those with strong Executive Support, a centralized leader that is the conduit for communicating corporate goals to the Green Teams and taking the Green Team’s idea back into the corporation, high diversity amongst team members, and systems for creating, measuring and tracking initiatives.” SABRE HOLDINGS GROUP, GREEN TEAM RESEARCH STUDY, July 2010
