The recently launched Westchester County Climate Change & Sustainability program asks every resident, business, government and school to strive to reduce its “carbon footprint” by 20 percent by 2015 and 80 percent by 2050.
As a member of the planning team for the Business Sector portion of the Westchester Action Plan, our goal was to develop a program that would motivate as many businesses as possible to move on the path toward sustainability and ultimately lower their green house gas emissions in accordance with the county goal.
