Encourage Handcrafted Yoga, Westchester’s 1st Green Yoga Studio

Tuesday, December 17th, 2013

www.encourageyoga.comEncourage Handcrafted Yoga opened its doors in Croton-on-Hudson in mid-October 2013.  Owner Al Bingham has created a simple, warm and rustic space that encourages you to say “ahhhh” when walking through the door. “Our goal is to create an environment that encourages our clients to use their bodies, breath and attention in ways that help them recognize the quiet expanse that already exists within them.  We believe the physical environment that a person practices in plays an important role and can be a source of encouragement.”

To that end, Al chose to work with Dani Glaser of Green Team Spirit to help him realize his vision of a healthy space for people and planet, and to serve as a source of encouragement both inside and outside of the studio. Inspiring girls at the 3rd Annual WWDAY Ladies First in STEM Conference

Sunday, April 7th, 2013

I have had the honor and privilege to speak at this conference for the last two years.  The young women are high school juniors and seniors at Nellie Thornton High School in Mount Vernon NY.

“This annual event allows guests ranging from female doctors to construction workers to engage high school students in meaningful discussions regarding women and careers in the growing fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.”

I always walk away deeply inspired by the stories of my fellow speakers and from the students.  After the presentations, we sit down and have lunch with the girls and get a chance to speak to them one on one.

The Green Team Spirit

By RICH MONETTI

Watching oneself drop a stack of incorrectly printed documents in the recycling bin without using the blank side for something else, hopefully at least, gives you pause. But who has time? Especially, when others in the office may not even give it a second thought. Why bother reinserting the clear side into the printer when your own uses require scrap. On the other hand, maybe those others, with a little concerted allegiance, would take the time – especially when the chances for sustainability and savings are distinctly possible and made available. That’s where Dani Glaser of Green Team Spirit has come in for a number of businesses and municipalities across the county. Continue Reading »

Meetings are an essential part of each organization’s operations. On any given day, we discuss our work with coworkers, clients, board members and stakeholders. However, are these meetings really efficient? When we think about efficiency in meetings, we often think about time and content, but what about the resources we use to run them?
